If you are a new bride working on a tight budget, then you may take the route of planning your wedding yourself. It might seem stressful but you sure can pull it off!

Every new bride wants one thing – to have the perfect wedding of their dreams!

As a new bride, you can have the wedding of your dreams, and at Planit, our job is to help you achieve just that.

Here are some tips to help you achieve that:

Start early: Nothing beats starting the planning early. Just because your wedding is next year, for instance, doesn’t mean you can’t start planning 6 months ahead. When you start to plan early, you save yourself a whole lot of stress.

Create a timeline: A timeline helps you decide milestones and growth for your wedding throughout the process of planning. Don’t just create a timeline, create realistic timelines and goals.

Set a budget and stick to it: You need to find out how much you can spend on your wedding based on your finances as well as what will be contributed by other people. Your budget will help you determine certain things and help you make decisions. Mostly, you can’t plan beyond your budget.

Work alongside your fiance: You don’t have to do this alone; you can plan your wedding with your fiance. Involve your fiance in important details about your wedding and don’t make him feel left out.

Get a wedding planning book: A wedding planning book will help you keep your wedding planning ideas in one place. It is a useful resource to help you get organized. You can also include lists, checklists, goals, etc. in your wedding planning book.

Have a wedding theme: It would be easier to make decisions and make your wedding look cohesive when you plan your wedding around a theme. There are lots of wedding themes you can choose from e.g. Vintage theme, Carribean theme, Garden theme, etc.!

Take absolute care when choosing your vendors: From the beginning of your wedding plan till the end, you would have to deal with vendors. The quality of the vendors you choose has a lot to do with how successfully the wedding planning goes. Avoid choosing vendors based on sentiments, choose vendors that would and can actually deliver.

Ask for help: Who says you can’t ask for help from the people around you? You need help, ask for it. You can’t do this alone. You would be surprised at the number of people who would be willing to help you.

Choose the best people: Have you thought about your bridesmaids? Take some time in choosing these people. You need to choose people you trust and would be willing to help you out as well as stand by you throughout your wedding.

Don’t stress it: Remember that the most important thing is having the type of marriage you truly want. The wedding is just one day, but the marriage is for a lifetime. And so, don’t stress it but be intentional.
