Canva
You can use Canva to create posters for your online event, free of charge. There are already several free templates created for event posters.
Zoom

While most commonly used for personal messaging, WhatsApp can be used to run recurring virtual events. A use case, for example, will be a catering class that would run for a particular time frame such as 1 month.
You can create a WhatsApp group to run this while being able to provide feedback instantly. This also opens you up to people who are unable to afford data subscription needed to stream video content.
A downside to this, however, is that organizing comments might be a bit of a hassle unless you create two groups, one that is read-only for attendees, and the other where they can post questions.
Eventbrite
Whether your (online) event is free or paid, you need a (ticketing) platform where you can confirm attendees’ registration, get analytics, receive payments (for paid events), and more. Ticketing sites such as Eventbrite simplify the entire ticketing process for you.
